Science for a better tomorrow

Photonis develops new scientific technologies and applications for markets we currently serve and those we would like to explore in the near future. We believe there are many more markets that can benefit from our disruptive technologies, such as life science, healthcare, climate change, environmental monitoring, and others which could improve our lives and the world around us to create a better tomorrow.  To drive this mission we are always looking for new opportunities.

For this purpose we challenged students to help Photonis develop new products, find new or other markets and applications or ways to become integrated higher up in the value chain!

We started this first edition of the Photonis Science Challenge in January 2019. 645 participants divided over 296 teams entered this challenge and we received very innovative ideas. For the second round we selected the best 10 teams to work together with a Photonis mentor to expand their idea. From the 10 semi-finalists, three teams were selected to present their ideas to our jury on the 10th of July during our final event which took place near Bordeaux, France. All the three ideas were very good, but our jury was able to choose a winner unanimously.
