Photonis at Photonics West
Visit us at booth #1437 during SPIE Photonics West to experience the unparalleled sensitivity and resolution of Photonis’ Single Photon detection and imaging devices. SPIE Photonics West is held from January 31 – February 2, 2023, at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, USA, and is the world’s premier laser, biomedical optics, and optoelectronics event. It is the occasion for Photonis to present our high counting, high resolution, and fast timing, Single Photon Imaging and Counting/Detection capabilities.
Why Photonis Technology?
Typical single photon detectors are limited to detecting one photon at a time and may require time between detection events to replenish
Photonis has a long history of developing innovative and award-winning photonics products, offering a wide range of high-speed, high resolution and fast timing photonic detection and imaging products that reveal high-energy particle physics phenomena, fly into distant galaxies, and diagnose medical illnesses. With Photonis photonic detection products, you will be the first to discover what has been hidden in your universe.
Photonis provides top-notch innovation for your single photon counting, detection and imaging needs.
Ultra-Fast MCP-PMTs for Single Photon Counting Applications
- Excellent temporal characteristics
- Extreme Low Dark Rates
- Zero Dead Time
MCP-PMTs from Photonis can be customized to achieve the best detection rates. Customizable options include the full range of Photonis Hi-QE photocathodes for the best match to each laser wavelength. The famous Photonis Micro Channel Plate (MCP) technology offers unmatched photon counting capability, extremely high dynamic range, and a guarantee for a long lifetime.
Advanced Image Intensifier Adapters for High-Speed Single Photon Imaging
- Low-Light Level Imaging
- Exceptional Shutter Speeds for CMOS and CCD cameras
- High Resolution Imaging
The Cricket™2 fitted with a Photonis Image Intensifier Tube (IIT), enables an all-in-one camera upgrade for high resolution, low light level imaging. By straight forward C-Mount attachment and USB power supply, the Cricket™2 offers an unmatched standard for connectivity.
Different IIT models, based on a range of Photonis low noise Hi-QE photocathodes, are available to fine tune the Cricket™2to a specific field of interest for optimal performance.
High speed gating down to 3ns for time-domain imaging using the photocathode as electro-optical shutter. High repetition rate up to 300 kHz and 2.5 MHz in burst mode.
Cricket™2 is an all-in-one solution with integrated optics and electronics.
Game Changer in Single Photon Counting Imaging
The Mantis³ consists of a Timepix3-based visible light camera coupled to a Cricket™2 containing one of Photonis' high-end image intensifier tubes. The TPX3Cam, manufactured by Amsterdam Scientific Instruments, is a high-rate, event-driven, time-stamping camera.
The combination with a Cricket™2 , holding special designed optics and an Image Intensifier Tube of choice, enables single photon sensitivity. A range of Photonis low noise Hi-QE photocathodes is available to optimize for your application.
