Defense Marketing Manager

The job

With recent acquisitions of companies specialized in infrared sensors and cameras, our Product Marketing department needs to be strengthened with the new position of Defense Marketing Manager. This person needs to have a strong interest for imaging technology, ideally in the defense industry and has experience in product marketing, ideally in the B-to-B sector.

As a Defense Marketing Manager, you will report to the Marketing Director and you will manage the Product Marketing Manager. You will be responsible for highlighting the marketable product features and building marketing campaigns focusing on those features and pending markets.

• Integrate new products
• Define the content of marketing materials
• Create adequate marketing materials
• Successfully plan and launch new products together with Product Management, R&D and Sales departments
• Creation of Defense marketing activities such as technical papers, application notes, brochures, presentations and videos

As this is a new position, you'll have the chance to create it in your own image, come up with new ideas and working methods, or take on completely new projects. We're looking for someone who is creative, a good writer, rigorous and at ease in a fast-growing international company.

Profile

• You are a team player with a strong drive, organizing and planning comes natural with you
• The position requires management capacity, problem solving is your second nature
• You feel comfortable writing new and creative content and creating messages
• You are capable to listen, analyze, and cooperate in a team, being the link between the Product Marketing Manager, the Marketing Director, Group Marketing and all other departments related to the current marketing projects

Knowledge, skills and competences

• A bachelor degree in Marketing and affinity with imaging technology, cameras and Sales
• At least 8 years of experience in an international technical organization in Marketing, experience or affinity with Defense
• Strong ability to write texts and build product messages
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong communication skills in English. French and/or Dutch are a plus
• Accurate, planning and organizing oriented, with a team mind-set
