|The PHOTONIS boron-lined proportional counters are intended to measure neutron radiations in source range of nuclear reactors and in homeland security instrumentation as an alternative of the He3 counters. They operate at temperatures up to 200°C.
PHOTONIS Boron-lined proportional counter detectors are working in Pulse mode and with a watertight HN connector. The Boron layer is 10B. Vapor deposition is used for standard PHOTONIS counters that are qualified for the safety instrumentation start-up channels of all AREVA PWRs.
