The Applications Engineer position at Photonis USA is responsible for handling all technical inquiries covering the breath of products manufactured by Photonis. The successful candidate will receive world wide requests for information via telephone, internet and direct e-mail. The applications engineer will guide customers to the correct product for the application as well as help design custom products for new applications. The successful candidate will make technical presentations at trade shows and key customer accounts.
Required Duties:
1. Respond to technical inquiries from website, telephone and e-mail
2. Interface with customer service on customer issues.
3. Perform quotations for specialized products.
4. Attend Technical trade shows and provide technical support at exhibits.
5. Support and educate sales staff on new products.
Required Skills and Education
1. BS or Masters degree in Physics or and Engineering discipline.
2. A minimum of 5 years experience in a technical position.
3 Must be able to interface with factory personnel, Customer service as well as sales
team members.
4. Must be able to make technical presentations.
5. Must be able to produce technical presentations in powerpoint.
6. Must be willing to travel to trade shows and important customer facilities.
7. Must be willing to publish technical articles.
